The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

Happy Halloween my little pumpkin face! (gotta change the produce for the holiday!)

38 weeks baby girl, you could show up at any moment. We've waited so long it seems surreal that you are actually going to be here soon, in our arms, completing our family. Wow. This picture was taken the night of your dads big work Halloween party he threw in honor of being off probation. I thought I'd record for prosperity how creepy a pregnant zombie looks. A note for the baby book: zombies are HUGE this year. Very popular in television, movies, life...they say it's because the economy is bad. But they said that about vampires five years ago...another popular thing is to blame the economy for everything!

Anyways! You will soon see how important this Halloween thing is to me! My absolute favorite holiday, and now I'll have an even bigger reason to adore this time of year...you!

Great Grandma came and stayed with us for a few days! We went and visited daddy at work.

We went to my favorite fall place EVER! An apple orchard! Look baby girl, that's you amongst all the other apples. An apple party!

Woah! My roundness totally won the big and round contest at the pumpkin patch this year!

Panda wanted to say hi!

Uncle greggy came and stayed while great grandma was here! We ate, a lot, of really great food. I hope you like Japanese food as much as we do, because you've got a great resource in your great grandma!

She'll be back again after your born...she is very excited for her 8th!!!!! Great grandkid. crazy!

Apples and pumpkins and costumes and family and you! I love this time of year!! Eeeeeee!!!

Love you so much apple pie! We'll see you soon!

Ready, set...

Ok, not quite go, but so close baby apple girl! This is us at 36 weeks. Hold on a little longer, but not too much longer, k?

Oh, and look honeycrisp! It's your baby bedroom! Close enough for you to come home to. Still a few things left to do, but nothing too important. Oh! We can't wait to see your little wiggle bottom wiggling out here and not just in my belly!

We love you tsugaru, any day now!

A simply splendid southern style soiree...

My dear little apple pie,
Something you will learn about your mommy when you grow up is that it sometimes takes me a little longer to get something done than other people. Don't get me wrong, when I do something I do it fast, and I am a very quick learner, all traits I hope to pass on to you...it's just, I'm a procrastinator, and so is your father! That is a trait we hope to teach OUT of you. So, as promised almost a month ago...here are pictures from the beautiful Southern Style Baby Shower your Gramma and Aunty Jane threw for you.
The party started in the afternoon and by the time I showed up the house was already filled with so many awesome ladies and such a good vibe, and ALL the women were wearing their hats. Like a real southern garden party. Aunty Jane and her bff Paige got up early to decorate and organize and cook, cook, cook. Watching the two of them together is like watching a perfectly matched pair of figure skaters. They've been friends forever and you can tell. Baby girl, it is really important to maintain friendships with the women in your life. There is nothing more magical than the ease and happiness a best friend can bring you. Anyhow!!! Gramma Rita made deviled eggs for the first time ever!?!? Yumtastic. I hope they make appearances at ALL the Ireland events from here on out. Aunty Jane pulled together some unreal pimento cheese sandwiches, which were the catalyst for the southern theme. And from what I hear the stuffed mushrooms were perfection. Too bad I missed out...maybe she'll make me some when she comes to meet you? hint, hint, wink, wink. The crowd was a mix of old Ireland friends, old Flores friends, and some family. Everyone looked beautiful in their hats, and everyone was so sweet. I just felt so overwhelmingly loved...I really can't reiterate enough how incredible your support system already is. Between my side of the family and the huge group of friends the Irelands have you will never be without. And that is something to always be grateful for.
Baby girl, we'll see you soon.

Photo dump for little baby bump!

Panda bear likes to hide under things now. You and her are going to have some fun exploring places you probably shouldn't be exploring. She came to work with me all summer, it was nice having the company.
As soon as fall hit this is what you were craving applesauce! Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin! In fact, either today or tomorrow this very pregnant lady is going to make a pumpkin mochi cake. Trust me, baby girl, you will LOVE it.
Did I mention it's football season? This year your dad and I and some friends are playing fantasy football. I'm kind of obsessed. This was my first Monday night football without your dad, watching the games all by myself...well, not really, you were watching with me. You were wiggling around in there too! Oh, and did I mention you are my lucky charm? I'm undefeated, and you are due on a Sunday. My little football baby!
oh! hi there Sammers! This is your grandcat...this is your gramma and grandfathers little buddy Sammy. He is a giant ball of cuddle. Him and Panda get along just fine, and I'm sure he'll love you much, much, more.
Sometimes we ALL get tired. Pretty (REALLY!!) soon that will be you all up in our arms. In the meantime we are practicing with Panda bear.
We did this, the few days we could. A book, a lake, a dog, and a dad. Those dots in the lake are your dad and your panda.
We also did this as much as we could. Here we are in Seattle celebrating Gramma's birthday! It was a gorgeous day...and you, of course, were super mellow. You tend to have dance parties only when I'm around. Which is how I like to do it too, so I understand. Although, the grandparents get antsy and want to feel you moving!
Oh, well, hello there gorgeous! Remember how we went to visit my besty in Spokane this summer? And how she was also expecting a little fruit basket? Well little fruity here decided to show up on September 10th! And she's a SHE, which means you'll have a little lady buddy east of the mountains to play with. Her name is Mila, and she is tiny, and the first time I get to meet her you will be with me. So we'll get to both fall in love together. And then be so sad when they have to climb the mountain and go home...
Look!!! It's your room!!!! Omygoodness gracious!!! We are still working hard in there, but Bob-Bob/G-Bob/Grandpa Bob refinished all the furniture and brought it up and it is like the most perfect thing ever! Did we tell you how this is the same crib that your uncle hooty, greggy, and I all slept in? It's the truth. Don't worry it's been updated to meet current safety standards! Wee!!
And this my dear little apple bottom is my water bottle. For the last nine months (oh did I mention you are DUE IN A MONTH) I have had this thing attached to my hip. I have never in my life had a water bottle that I didn't lose or break for this long. You are a thirsty girl and I am a thirsty momma. And this, well, I love this water bottle, more than I should.
And that is all for this version of photo dump for baby bump! Just some moments I didn't want to forget, and for you to know about. We love you so much already and can't wait to meet you honeycrisp.
