Oh Honeydew!

33 weeks?!?!?!? My little fruit dream! Between now and 36 weeks you are supposedly around the size of a honeydew, they are running out of fruit. They should start switching to meats...right now you are the size of a Pork Shoulder that would feed a family of 3. Gross :). I can't wait to meet you. Everyday a little bit closer. Today I bought you some clothes, it was the first time, can you believe that? I bet your dad can't believe that. I love shopping. You got so many adorable outfits from the shower parties I didn't even NEED to get you anything. But how do you resist a pink fleece sleep sack with clouds all over it? Or those classic white onesies...oh dear. I never knew I'd fall for pink...but girly you've already got me doing things I never thought I would. Sigh...what will our future hold? We are in for it! <3 <3 <3

The most loved spoiled apple in the bunch...

You are loved, my little fuji, by so many people...with very different ideas, backgrounds, futures, tastes. And this, I hope, is what will allow you to grow up well rounded and a self thinker.

Last weekend two different groups of friends and family got together to celebrate your impending arrival with amazing soirees...a BBq (BABY-q) on Saturday and a lovely Southern style shower on Sunday. As you can see the tablescapes were as differing as the crowds that gathered. Your dad and I could not have been more humbled by the amount of love (and loot) we received on both days. And all because of you Apple Bottom! I have a million more photos to share...but that will have to wait, meemaw and bob-bob (trying out some grandparent names here, lemme know what you think!) are coming up soon with your CRIB and dressers. Eek! Which means it's time for momma here to start organizing your mounds of stuff...sigh, a mothers work is never done!

Only 7 more weeks apple fritter, we can't wait! See you soon!

30 weeks and counting...

Hadn't done one of these in awhile...see how you've grown? See how I'VE grown? Yoinks!

An Apple a day...and a nap...keeps the doctor away.

Hi honeycrisp!

So we are in week 30, crazy! Just ten more weeks, or more, or less. Such a short time until we get to meet you. You are still giving me heartburn baby cakes, crossing fingers this means you have lots of hair. Actually, whatever! I don't care at all if your bald or furry. But at least if you have a full head of hair it would explain this epic heartburn party. Oh! Hi! My belly just started wiggling like a bowl full of jelly. What the heck are you doing in there? Hahah. This is so cool. Really, this is my favorite part...just sitting here watching you move. When you first started moving enough for us to feel you from the outside I couldn't keep my hands of my belly. I wanted to feel every single movement...now that you are a dance champ I just want to watch you move. And you are putting on quite the show right now. Weeee!

ON THE OTHER HAND. This whole pregnant party we are having over here has not been that fun of a party this last week. Hitting third trimester was like running full speed into a brick wall, covered in spikes, and filled with wasps. Exaggeration station. But for reals, apple buns, things got heavy in the last week. As in all of your weight started bearing down on my hips and my pelvic bone, supposedly you are going to double in size in the next couple of months, and at this point it's really hard to imagine. Last weekend we were working really hard to get stuff done around here, and I worked a bunch, and it proved too much. I just shut down, physically everything hurt, emotionally I couldn't understand why everything was so much harder for me to get done! I wanted to just keep plugging away, as independent and as strong as before, but you and my body were yelling at me to slow down. I listened. I promise. I slowed down. I am trying to do things a little at a time, and ask for help (gasp!). My advice, little girl, listen to your body. It is capable of amazing things, and it is strong and powerful, but it also has it's limits and it will always let you know when it's time to ask for help or to slow things down. You will be able to go much farther for much longer if you take the time to connect with your body and let it guide you. So, that is what I did, and you know what? I feel so much better. I am still an aching mess, but I am a happy and more relaxed aching mess. And your dad is my hero. My doctor told me to "actually not do anything" after work last week and so I came straight home and didn't do a damn thing, and your dad took care of me. He made an incredible dinner, let me watch bad tv, and even brought the balloons to the pity party I was throwing...

ANYWAYS. You are still wiggling. Heehee. I am glad I am wearing a tight shirt. Although at this point I don't have much of a choice, as all but two of shirts are tight! Seriously. Not even a joke. Clothes are getting a little sparse around here...and my favorite season is coming up. Better go shopping again. Fall!!! Oh, so many more reasons this year to celebrate the coming season, you are coming this fall! Apples are in season, which means a field trip to Bellewood acres! Rain boots! Sweaters! and OMYGOSH, YOU ARE GOING TO BE HERE THIS FALL! Apples really will be in season.

Ok apple pants! We'll see you so soon. Oh! Your dad finished painting the nursery today! Eek! I'll tell you all about that adventure next time.

xoxo
